A Shield for Your Soul
Imagine starting and ending your day with a single verse that wraps you in Allah’s protection and peace. That’s the beauty of reciting Ayat-ul-Kursi daily, a Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that’s like a spiritual shield. Let’s explore why this practice is so special, the blessings it brings, how following the Sunnah transforms us, and easy ways to make it part of your routine, all inspired by the Quran, Hadith, and a love for learning.
The Magic of Ayat-ul-Kursi
Ayat-ul-Kursi is a gift from Allah, packed with His greatness and mercy:
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:255)
English Meaning:
“Allah! There is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.”
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“Whoever recites Ayat-ul-Kursi after every obligatory prayer, nothing stands between him and entering Paradise except death.”
(Sunan an-Nasa’i)
