Islam teaches us about many righteous men and women who dedicated their lives to Allah and supported the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) with love, sacrifice, and faith. Among the greatest of them are a special group known as Ashara Mubashshara — the ten companions who were promised Jannah during their lifetime.
These ten individuals were not only close to the Prophet (ﷺ), but they showed remarkable character, courage, sincerity, and obedience to Allah. Knowing about them helps us understand what true faith looks like and inspires us to improve our own character.
Let us explore who they were and why they were honored with this beautiful promise.
The Hadith About the Ten Promised Paradise
The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) once said in an authentic Hadith:
“Abu Bakr is in Jannah.
